Edward A. “Mr. Ed” Trueitt, 74, of Lorain, went home to be with The Lord on March 6, 2026 at Anchor Lodge in Lorain. He was born September 7, 1951 in Dothan, Alabama. Mr. Trueitt had resided in Lorain for 25 years and formerly lived in Cleveland. He was a welder and retired from P L Welding in Cleveland. Mr. Trueitt faithfully attended God Believers in Christ Church in Lorain. He enjoyed watching television, especially westerns and wrestling, and playing the lottery. Mr. Trueitt was also very personable, a great conversationalist, and he enjoyed talking with others. He is survived by: his wife of 42 years, April Brown; one son, Edward Brown Jr.; his granddaughter, Kahlia Steele; a step-son, Reginald McFadden; and a step-daughter, Shalonda McFadden. He was preceded in death by: his father, Dave Trueitt; his mother, Inez Tarver; his son, Demetrius Brown in 2020; and his daughter, Echo Brown in 2023. The Funeral Service will be Saturday March 14, 2026 at 11am at God Believers in Christ Church, 540 West 22nd Street, Lorain. Pastor James Williams will officiate. The wake will be held from 10 to 11am. The burial will be Monday March 16, 2026 at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
