Edward R. Vlach Sr.

Edward R. “Ed” Vlach Sr., 81, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully at St. John Medical Center in Westlake on Tuesday December 14, 2021.  He was born August 25, 1940 in Cleveland and had resided in North Ridgeville for 34 years.  Mr. Vlach worked as a truck driver for the Pepsi Cola Company in Cleveland for 37 years and retired in 2002.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, going out to eat with friends, and he especially enjoyed watching his grandson play hockey and baseball.  Edward Vlach Sr. is survived by: his daughter, Patricia A. Drennen of North Ridgeville; his son, Edward R. “Eddie” Vlach Jr. (Carmella) of Westlake; five grandchildren, Christina, Colleen, Robert, Lindsey and Anthony; and one great-grandson, Elliott.  He was preceded in death by: his wife, Marie (nee Virone) in 2020, his mother, Helen Goodrow (nee McCullough); his father, Edward Vlach; and by his brother, Ronald Goodrow.  A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
