Ellen G. Hill

Ellen G. Hill (nee Bell), 84, a resident of Columbia Station for 55 years, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, November 24, 2024. She was born November 16, 1940, in Center Twp., Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Ellen was a devoted wife, mom, and memaw, she loved caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Ohio Women’s Bowling Association, and enjoyed bowling, travelling, and painting ceramics. She is survived by three children, John Hill Jr. (Lisa), Linda Donelon (Doug), and Miranda Bucknavich (Bob); five grandchildren, Amanda, Michael (Hitomi), Shayne, Joseph, and Daniel; her sister, Linda Pacanosky; and many nieces and nephews. Ellen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, John Hill; her parents, Robert and Anna Bell; and five siblings, James Bell, Kenneth Bell, William Bell, Lavinia Hill, and Cynthia Cameron. The family welcomes friends to join them on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 4pm to 6pm, with the service beginning at 6pm, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Pastor David Woolsey of Faith Lutheran Church in Avon will officiate. The burial service will be private.
