Gail Y. Rubesne (nee Branham), 77, of Columbia Station, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday January 20, 2021. She was born March 4, 1943 in Neon, Kentucky. Gail had resided in Columbia Station since 1969 and she was a homemaker. Her faith was a central pillar of her life and she was an active, practicing Methodist. For many years she organized her church’s Thanksgiving Dinner. Daily devotional reading and Bible study were a major part of Gail’s life. She also enjoyed bird watching, baking, hobby sewing, word search puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Gail was devoted to her beloved family. Gail Y. Rubesne is survived by: three daughters, Tracie Huskey of North Ridgeville, Rhonda Carson (Dennis) of Columbia Station and Kellie Rubesne (Ann Zofchak) of South Russell; seven grandchildren, Emilie (Geoffrey), Amanda, Nathan (Kelly), Jeremy (Mary Ann), Olivia, Mitchell and Lucas; one great-grandchild, Miles; and her brother, Willis Ray Branham (Candy). She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ronald in 2017; her parents, Willis and Velma (nee Bentley) Branham; and two brothers. Out of our love and respect for family and friends, visitation and services will be private. Burial will be at Columbia Township Cemetery on Route 82 in Columbia Station. The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for taking such loving care of Gail. Memorial contributions are suggested to either Hospice of the Western Reserve or to Canine Lifeline.
