Glen D. Weber

Glen D. Weber, 87, of Elyria, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday May 18, 2024 at UH Elyria Medical Center following a long illness.  He was born October 24, 1936 in Jerusalem, Ohio.  Glen and his young family moved to Elyria in 1962.  For over 38 years he worked as a customer service agent for United Airlines at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and retired in 1998.  Glen was a born again Christian and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Elyria for many years, where he served in the AWANA ministry and sang in the choir.  He enjoyed reading, singing, playing the guitar, and sports.  Glen was committed to his family and they dearly loved him.  He is survived by: his beloved wife of 65 years, Joy (nee Winegardner); his four daughters, Carole Luncford of Elyria, Cynthia Vincent (Robert) of Elyria, Pamela Hunt (Tracy) of Lagrange, and Cathy Jo Hammond of Vermilion; 11 grandchildren, Anthony (Kayla), Tanya (David), Jared (Katie), Tyler, Chrissy (Chaz), Cameron, Kyle, Isaac, Michaela, Colton, and Victoria; 11 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Lois Beardmore of Canfield.  He was preceded in death by: his son-in-law, William Luncford; his brother, Thurman Weber; and his parents, Floyd and Minnie (nee Lisk) Weber.  The family will receive friends on Monday May 27, 2024 from 4 to 7pm at First Baptist Church, 11400 Lagrange Rd., Elyria.  The Funeral Service will be Tuesday May 28, 2024 at 11am at the church, where friends will be received one-hour prior to the service.  Pastor David Burman will officiate.  Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Baptist Mid Missions (bmm.org).
