James C. Burgess, 94 formerly of Columbia Station, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at his granddaughters residence in Brunswick. He was born July 21, 1928, in Winesap, Tennessee. James was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was a proud supporter of the VFW, American Legion, Amvets, and Donald Trump. James worked as a TV repairman for many years at Bill Baker's in Elyria. For the past 19 years James has resided in Crossville, Tennessee. James had love for his family, chewing Copenhagen, and reading and learning. He is survived by two grandchildren, Ben (Angela), and Samantha (James); and 11 great grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Burgess; his two sons, Steve and Rick; and his two grandchildren, Craig and Rickey. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 1pm at Akins Cemetery in Crossville, Tennessee.
