James H. Criner, 86, a resident of Bellevue, and a former long time resident of Avon, passed away peacefully at his resident with his family by his side, on Monday, March 27, 2022. He was born in Putman County, West Virginia on October 9, 1935. James worked for the Ford Motor Company for 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed: camping, fishing, watching the Cleveland Indians, bragging about being the oldest of 15 children, and spending time with his family. James loved his only granddaughter, Andrea, and was extremely proud of her achievements in life. James was a former member of the LaGrange Church of God. He is survived by: two children, Danny, and Delinda; his granddaughter, Andrea; six sisters, Delores Barnes, Ruth Barnett, Nagene Cable, Sue Bailey, and Pixie Legg; five brothers, Dayton, Keith, Ronnie, Tom, and Mike Criner. James was preceded in death by: his parents, Homer and Lesta Criner; his brother, Tony Criner; and his tree sisters, Bethlene Barnette, Mary Lou Boggess, and Agatha Currey. Services will be private. Burial will be held at Rest Haven Memory Gardens in Avon.
