James F. McKinney

James F “Gramps” McKinney, 79, a resident of North Ridgeville, passed away at University Hospitals in Elyria following a short illness on December 29, 2021. He was born September 9, 1942 in Springfield. James was a veteran and a First Lieutenant of the US Army. He worked for Navistar in Springfield for over 25 years, retiring in 1994. James loved spending time with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren, he also enjoyed watching old western tv shows, and the Cleveland Browns. He was a former member of local union #402 in Springfield, and a member of the North Ridgeville VFW post #9871. He is survived by: his daughter, Michelle Dudley (Lee); three grandchildren, Jennifer Richardson (Christopher), Kristina Dobbins (Douglas), and Karlee Dudley; four great grandchildren, Hudson Brown, James Richardson, Isabella Richardson, and Alexander Dobbins; his sister, Rose Stidham; and by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. James was preceded by: his loving wife for over 30 years, Anna “Kay” McKinney; his parents, Robert and Ethel McKinney, and his siblings, Robert, and Judy. The family welcomes friends to join them at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville, on Wednesday January 5, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm, with the service starting at 8pm. Pastor Don Verdell will be officiating at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Rosehill Cemetery in Springfield. Pastor Stidham will be officiating at the cemetery.
