James D. Palinkas

James D. Palinkas, 86, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 14, 2023 at O’Neill Health Care in North Ridgeville.  He was born April 4, 1937 in Cleveland and was raised in the historic Buckeye Neighborhood.  James resided in North Olmsted for many years before moving to  North Ridgeville in 2013.  He was employed as a Tool and Die Maker at USG (formerly Donn Products) in Westlake for many years and retired in 2008.  He is survived by: his children, James E. Palinkas (Sher) of North Olmsted and Lynore Redding (Carl) of North Ridgeville; six grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Robert, Katie, Ronnie (Michelle), and Brandy; seven great-grandchildren, Ian, Tessa, Ryan, Donnie, Riley, Blake and Ella; a sister-in-law, Irene Palinkas of Twinsburg; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by; his wife, Gladys (nee Paul) in 2010; his Son, Ronald Palinkas in 2015; his daughter, Sherry Palinkas in 2022; his daughter-in-law, Rebecca Palinkas in 2014; his sister, Jean T. Palinkas in 2010; and his brother, Joseph L. Palinkas in 2007.  A private family service will be held.  Interment will be at Ridgeville Cemetery in North Ridgeville.
