James A Walkem Jr, 64, a long time resident of Homerville, passed away peacefully with his family on December 25, 2021. He was born November 23, 1957 in Berea. James graduated from Columbia Station High School in 1976. He works for Terrace Construction as a truck driver for over 20 years. James was a member of the local 436 Union, and enjoyed: Camping, gardening, spending time with his family, and doing projects with his boys. James also enjoyed the company of his favorite nurse, his niece, Janice, and his helpers, Sabrina, Kristen, and Timmy. He is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Patty; two sons, James III (Rachel), Jeremiah (Christie); six Grandchildren, James IV, Layla, Skyler, Elijah, Mallory, and Landon; seven siblings; and by many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by: his grandson, Riley; his mother, Edith; his father, Bill; and his brother, Louis. The family welcomes friend to join them Wednesday December 29, 2021, from 4pm to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The service will be Thursday December 30, 2021 at 11am. Burial will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Eaton Township. Pastor Bonnie Sliva will officiate.
