Janice C. (Herbert) Donnelly

Janice C. Donnelly (nee Herbert) (formerly Carter), 93, of Ashland, passed away on Saturday February 11, 2023 at Crystal Care of Ashland.  She was born September 29, 1929 in Cleveland and was a graduate of West Tech High School in Cleveland.  She had resided in Ashland for 30 years and had previously resided in Olmsted Falls.  Janice was a wonderful cook and she was employed as a cook at both Brethren Village in Ashland and Lutheran Village of Ashland.  She also formerly worked as a florist at Brown’s Flowers in Cleveland.  Janice enjoyed attending the services at Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah.  Janice Donnelly is survived by: her daughter, Pat Brooks of Ashland; her son, Tim Carter (Linda) of Fairview Park; three grandchildren, Alex (Ulie), Chloe (Nick) and Emily; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Roberta Detmar of North Olmsted.  She was preceded in death by: her husband, James Donnelly; a son, David Carter; a grandson, Ben Carter; and her sister, Lori Knipper.  A graveside service for her family will be held on Friday March 24, 2023 at 1:00pm at  Sullivan South-View Cemetery in Ashland County.  Pastor John Bouquet from Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah, will officiate.
