Jeffrey David Vandevort

Jeffrey David Vandevort, 57, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday August 6, 2020 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.  He was born December 30, 1962 in Beaver Falls, PA.  Jeff was a Lorain County Resident for most of his life and he was a 1982 graduate of Elyria High School.  Jeff was employed in the trucking industry.  He enjoyed playing the drums and billiards.  Jeff especially enjoyed his view of Lake Erie from his apartment in Lorain.  Jeffrey Vandevort is survived by: one brother, Chris Vandevort (Shelley) of Willoughby; one sister, Dana Trunzo (Peter) of Strongsville; one step-sister, Elizabeth Davis of Lorain; two nieces, Danielle (Danny) and Ayanna; four nephews, Kyle, Leo, Devan (Susy) and Brandon; and by his step-mother, Christine Vandevort of Oberlin.  He was preceded in death by: his mother, Sandra Vandevort (nee Beichner); and by his father, David Vandevort.  A private memorial service will be held for the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The American Heart Association.  Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is serving the family.
