Jessie "Evelyn" McGlumphy

Jessie “Evelyn” McGlumphy (nee Moore) 88, a resident of Elyria, formerly of Sheffield Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday January 23, 2026 at the Cleveland Clinic in Avon. She was born June 3, 1937 in Green County, Pennsylvania and graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1955. Evelyn was a long-time member of Harvest Ridge Church in North Ridgeville. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and sharing the gospel. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, John; three children, Judy (Dan), JorJene, and Julie (Andrew); four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Patrick), Lauren, Lynsey (her fiancé Kris), and Alyssa; four great grandchildren, Riley, Natalie, Everly, and Presley; and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, George and Jessie; and her four siblings, Margaret, Lloyd, Walter, and Lafay. The family welcomes friends to join them on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2pm to 4pm, with the service beginning at 4pm, at Harvest Ridge Church, 35600 Lorain Rd, North Ridgeville. A private burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Ridge Church.
