Joanne C. (Brighton) Wisniewski

Joanne C. Wisniewski (Nee Brighton), 86, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly on Wednesday April 15, 2026 at UH St. John Medical Center in Westlake.  She was born November 14, 1939 in Toledo.  Mrs. Wisniewski had resided in North Ridgeville for 14 years and previously resided in North Olmsted for over 40 years.  She was a dedicated home maker and she loved caring for her home.  She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles, and spending time with her beloved family.  Joanne Wisniewski is survived by: her husband of 66 years, James; three daughters, Pam McCool (Mike) of Eaton Township, Lisa Murphy of Grafton, and Sandy Zenone (Mike) of North Ridgeville; her son, Steve Wisniewski (Theresa) of Eaton Township; 13 grandchildren, Brendan, Katie, Hannah, Steven, Jennifer, Kelly, Alex, Justin, Sean, Mikey, Abby, Dominic, and Owen; and 16 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by; her son, Glen Wisniewski in 2024, her parents, Ernest and Elizabeth (nee Bennett) Brighton; and three brothers, George, Kenneth, and Edward Brighton.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 21, 2026 from 4 to 7pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.  The Funeral Service will be Wednesday April 22, 2026 at 10:30am at the funeral home.  Rev. Isidore Munishi from St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville, will officiate the service.  Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or to the UH Seidman Cancer Center.
