John Lee “Lee Bob” Johns Jr., 58, of Elyria, passed away Saturday April 18, 2026 at his residence following a six month illness. He was born August 25, 1967 in Cleveland. Lee Bob was a long-time resident of Elyria. He was employed as a truck driver for 22 years, and recently retired due to health issues. Lee Bob was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding his Harley. Lee Bob was also well-known for his home brewing abilities. He is survived by: his mother, Brenda Montano; his daughter, Nicole Raeann Johns (Logan); his son, John Anthony Johns (Brittany); his two grandsons, Austin and Mason; his brother, James Wayne Johns (Dawn); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by: his loving step-father, Rudolfo Montano; and his grandparents, Austin and Betty Brown. A Celebration of Lee Bob’s life will be held Saturday May 2, 2026 from 6pm-12am at Chris’s Place, 515 Clark Street, Elyria.
