Jose M. Rodriguez

Jose M. Rodriguez, 63, a longtime resident of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was born October 5, 1961, in Yauco, Puerto Rico. Jose worked as a men’s clothing salesman for 30 years, where he blossomed into the men’s fashionista everyone knew him to be. At his first job working with Rose, he was introduced to Lucy, the woman he knew was going to be his everything.  He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Indians, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Shopping for his wife, getting together with his friends for breakfast, and grabbing happy hour with brother, Rudy, and best friend, Jaser, were some of his simple pleasures. He loved and cared for his parents and emulated that selflessness to anyone who crossed his path. Jose is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lucy; two children, Aida (Coral), and Joseph; his grandson, Lucian Atlas; his sister, Nannette; his brother, Rudersindo (Wilma); his sister-in-law, Giovanna of Australia; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Rudersindo and Aida; his mother-in-law, Maria Iuliano; and his brother-in-law, Joe. The family welcomes friends to join them on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm, with the memorial service starting at 6pm, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Pastor Dave Swartz will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Red Cross.
