Juliann M. Whitesell, 14, a lifelong resident of Elyria, received her wings surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at UH Cleveland Medical Center. She was born August 26, 2010, in Elyria. Juliann loved watching cartoons, especially SpongeBob, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her mother, Amber Whitesell; her father, Josh Buess; her sister, Haley Seljan; two brothers, Kaden and Marcus Buess; her maternal grandmother, Janice Smith; her paternal grandfather, Bob Miller; her paternal grandmother, Kriss Bridge; her paternal great grandfather, Jerry; four aunts, Kaleigh Smith, Lindsey Smith, Sandy Buess, and Megan Miller; and many cousins. Juliann was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Michael Whitesell; her maternal great grandparents, Mary and Kenneth Harper; her paternal great grandmother, Sandy; her paternal great great grandmother Gigi; and many great aunts and uncles. The family welcomes friends to join them on Saturday May 3, 2025, from 10am to 1pm, with the service beginning at 1pm, at West Ridge Enterprise Baptist Church, 46280 Telegraph Rd. Amherst. Rev. Roger Rice will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland.
