Karen L. Zilko (nee Knuff), 79, of North Ridgeville and a former resident of Parma, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Cleveland Clinic in Avon, on Sunday September 26, 2021. She was born in Cleveland on October 10, 1941. Karen graduated from Brunswick High School in 1959 and was a member of the Brunswick Alma Mater. She worked in the credit and collections department at Sears for 25 years. Karen enjoyed: jigsaw puzzles, Crosswords, watching tv, going to casinos, spending time with her family, and helping those in need. Karen is survived by: her son, Jim (Marianne); three grandchildren, Laura (Nick), Ray, and Ryan; four great grandchildren, Dietrik, Dominik, Brodrik, and Ryan Jr.; her brother Thomas Knuff; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 34 years, James Zilko; her brother, Michael Knuff (Mary); her sister, Laurie Sumney (Vic); and two sisters-in-law, Bonnie, and Marie. The family welcomes friends to join them on Saturday October 23, 2021 at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville from from 10am to 11am, with the service starting at 11am. Pastor David Swartz will officiate. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
