Kay F. Persinger (nee Dunfee), 75, a long time resident of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born May, 17 1947, in Sharon, West Virginia. Kay graduated from South High School in Cleveland. She co-owned and operated Sam’s Trenching in Grafton with her husband Samuel. Kay enjoyed playing solitaire, other card games, scrabble, and gardening. She was a born-again Christian. She is survived by: her three children, Cheryl, Samuel II, and Jonathan; eight grandchildren; her sister, Judith; and many nieces and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by: her loving husband of 35 years, Samuel; her parents, Francis and Lucille; and her three siblings, Jack, Brenda, and Franklin. The family welcomes friends to join them Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 4pm to 7pm, at Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center ridge Rd. North Ridgeville, 44039. The service will be held Friday, August 12, 2022.at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens, in Avon. Pastor Mike Payne from Cathedral of Life will officiate.
