Lavonne Allison (nee Byrant), 82, a longtime resident of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully like a whisper in the night, on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake. She was born August 2, 1942, in Nashville, Tennessee. Lavonne graduated from Pearl High School in Nashville. She was very devoted to her family, always making sure their needs were met before her own. Lavonne enjoyed going thrift shopping, cooking, talking on the phone all day with friends and family, and taking care of Gigi. She is survived by her four children, Angela Allison Jones, Valorie Allison-Hooks (Leo), Tony Allison (Mary), and Rodney Allison (Loren); 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; five siblings, Harold Lee, Aaron, Larry, Kathy, and Rosina; her devoted companion Gigi; and many nieces and nephews. Lavonne was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Willie Lee Allison; her granddaughter, Toni Kapri Allison; her great granddaughter, Kendall Jones; and her six siblings, Jimmy, Nina, Dorothy Jane, Widdy, Sheila, and Jay. The family welcomes friends to join then on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 11am to 1pm, with the service beginning at 1pm, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Lavonne will be laid to rest with her husband at Resthaven Memory Gardens on Monday, March 31, 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
