Linda Darlene Sponseller, (nee Moore) 68, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly at her residence on Thursday March 26, 2026. She was born Raye Darlene Eldreth in Jefferson, North Carolina on March 8 1958. Linda had resided in Ohio for over 20 years, moving here from Elizabethtown, North Carolina. Linda was a legal secretary for many years and retired from Weltman –Wineberg & Reis in Cleveland in 2025. She was raised a Baptist and she was a woman of deep faith. She played the piano, and she formerly enjoyed filling in at the piano at her church. She also enjoyed collecting baskets and she was a true Elvis fan. Most of all, Linda was thankful for her beloved family. She is survived by: her daughter, Crystal Lee (Derrick); her son, Jason Sponseller (Jasmine); six grandchildren, William Lee, Cadence Sponseller, Christopher Armour, Malcolm Armour, Ja’Mya Sponseller, and Elijah Sponseller; and her siblings, Betty James, Ronnie Eldreth, Bonnie Eldreth, and Debbie Eldreth. She was preceded in death by: her adoptive parents, Ernest and Eunice (nee McLean) Moore; her biological parents, James and Melba Lee (nee Gaddy) Eldreth; and three siblings, Betty “Toby” Brewer, Barbara “Bobbie” Fisher, and Steve Moran. The family will receive friends on Saturday April 18, 2026 from 1pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 2pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Pastor David Swartz will officiate the service.
