Lois J. Ensley (nee Beale), 87, of Elyria, passed away on Friday November 18, 2022 at Life Care Center in Elyria following a long illness. She was born August 14, 1935 in Confluence, Pennsylvania. She had resided in Elyria for many years and was a 1953 graduate of Elyria High School. She formerly worked as a Deputy Clerk for Lorain County Probate Court and as a legal secretary at Bogart & Edwards Attorneys in Elyria. Mrs. Ensley was also a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She attended First Baptist Church of Elyria for many years and she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi (Gamma Epsilon Chapter) in Elyria. Mrs. Ensley enjoyed needlework and being involved in her neighborhood Sew and Sew ladies group, decorating, flower gardening and attending Bible studies. Lois J. Ensley is survived by: her husband of 64 years, Bill; three daughters, Natalie Eaton (Jim) of Frederick, Maryland, Pamela Thompson (Frank) of Elyria and Amy Ensley-Noehren (Bob) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; six grandchildren, Seth (Joy), Kelsey (Daniel), Brynne (Andy), Nicholas, Brock (Mariah) and Brett (Dominque); and four great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Truett, Haven and Theodore. A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday November 29, 2022 at IOOF Cemetery in Kingwood (Somerset County), Pennsylvania. Mrs. Ensley’s son-in-law, Pastor Jim Eaton, will officiate the service. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Life Care Center of Elyria.
