Lori Ann Norton

Lori Ann Norton, 61, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at O'Neill Health Care in North Ridgeville. She was born January 6, 1962, in Fairfield, Illinois and graduated from Carbondale High School in Carbondale, Illinois.  Lori had been a Lorain County resident for over 25 years and she formerly lived at several Flat Rock Group Living Homes. She worked for Pizza Hut, and McDonalds, where she prided herself on being the “hostess with the mostess”. Lori loved participating in the Special Olympics, where she won several medals. She enjoyed caring for animals, traveling, going to Donny Osmond concerts, and being his #1 fan. Lori attended Grace Church of North Olmsted. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ladonna Stone, her nephew, Terry Stone (Sherry); two nieces, Pamela Horsfall (John), and Melanie Stone; and many great nephews and nieces. Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Irene Norton; her sister, Janie Norton; and her brother, Arthur Stone. The family welcomes friends to join them on Friday August 25, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm, with the service beginning at 6pm, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Pastor Dean Good from Grace Church of North Olmsted will officiate. Lori will be laid to rest at Boskydell Cemetery in Carbondale, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio.
