Mae Elaine (McDevitt) Davis

Mae Elaine Davis (nee McDevitt), 70, of Elyria, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 22, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital following a short illness.  She was born March 1, 1951 in Cleveland and was a 1969 graduate of Midview High School.  Mrs. Davis had resided in Lorain County for many years.  She was a homemaker but also enjoyed doing home health care for many years.  Mrs. Davis was a member of Christian Unity Church in Grafton.  She enjoyed attending church, Bible study and spending time with her beloved family.  Mae Elaine Davis is survived by: her husband of 52 years, Bobby Davis; two daughters, Tara Minnich (Jeremy) of Grafton and Amanda Smith (Russell) of Elyria; two sons, Dwayne Davis (Crystal) of Oberlin and Jason Davis (Gina) of Grafton; six grandchildren. Corey, Justin, Beka, Makayla, Maleah, and Emma; one great-grandson, Colton; her sister, Marilyn Wright (Paul) of Medina; and two brothers, Don McDevitt (Trish) of Wellington and Glen McDevitt of Elyria.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Pauline (nee Cutshall) McDevitt.  The family will receive friends on Saturday February 26, 2022 from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11:30am at Christian Unity Church, 36343 Capel Road, Grafton.  Pastor Neal Brock will officiate the service.  Burial will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Eaton Township.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the missions fund at Christian Unity Church.  Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is serving the family.  To leave an online condolence, please visit listonfuneralhome.com.
