Maggie C. Blackburn (nee Noland), 89, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 18, 2021. She was born September 21, 1931 in Williamstown, West Virginia. Mrs. Blackburn formerly resided in Elyria and Warrenton, MO. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Mrs. Blackburn also worked in the customer service department of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Warrenton, Mo. She attended First Baptist Church of Elyria. Mrs. Maggie Blackburn is survived by: her husband of 71 years, Paul E. Blackburn; her daughter, Rebecca Christie (the Late Mike) of Lorain; three sons, Timothy Blackburn (Carol) of Vermilion, Mark Blackburn (Kathleen) of Lorain, and Philip Blackburn (Niphaporn) of Cranberry, PA: nine grandsons; seven great-granddaughters; her dear sister, Judy Knotts (the Late William) of Lorain; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sweety. She was preceded in death by: her son, Stephen Blackburn in 2020; her parents, Dewey H. and Opal Mae (nee Slaughter) Noland; her sisters, Linda, Delores, Betty Ann and Wanda; and her brothers, Dean and Bruce. The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 26, 2021 from 4 to 7pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The Funeral Service will be Thursday May 27, 2021 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Elyria, 11400 LaGrange Rd., Elyria. Pastor David Burman Jr. will officiate. Burial will be on Thursday at 2:30pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Special Olympics.
