Margaret Catherine (Feather) Hoagland

Margaret Catherine Hoagland (nee Feather), 100, formerly of Elyria, went home to be with Christ her Savior, whom she loved and served, on Thursday December 10, 2020 in New Bern, NC.  She had been residing with her daughter in New Bern for the last two years.  Mrs. Hoagland was born January 20, 1920 in Lloydell, PA and was raised there.  She had resided in Johnson City, NY and Beaverdale, PA, prior to moving to Elyria, where she lived for 25 years.  She was a homemaker and also worked as bookkeeper and a sales clerk.  Mrs. Hoagland was a member of First Baptist Church in Elyria.  She was a life-long student of the Bible and wrote her own Bible commentaries.  Mrs. Hoagland enjoyed cross stitching and quilting.   She is survived by: three daughters, Jan Rohrbach (Glenn) of Elyria, Lynette Rowe (Tom) of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Lauren Luchuk (Jerry) of New Bern, NC; one son, Timothy Hoagland of New Bern, NC; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by: her husband, John H. Hoagland in 2004; her son, Daniel Hoagland in 1987; her parents, J. Lloyd and Emma Mae (nee Hull) Feather; three sisters, and four brothers.  The family will receive friends on Thursday December 17, 2020 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, 11400 LaGrange Rd., Elyria.  Pastor Craig Golden and Dr. Gary Anderson will co-officiate.  A graveside service will be held on Friday December 18, 2020 at 2:30pm at Pavia Cemetery (Mt. Zion Cemetery) in Pavia (Bedford County), PA.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Baptist Mid Missions Foundation, Cleveland, OH (www.bmm.org).
