Margaret L. “Peggy” Schonhut (nee Miller), 81, a longtime resident of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Altenheim Senior Living in Strongsville on Thursday, January 26, 2023. She was born March 15, 1941 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Peggy is survived by her two sons, Francis C. “Butch” (Mary Ann) Schonhut and Don (Nicole) Schonhut; six grandchildren, Mark, Lynn (Taylor), Matthew, Phillip, Abigail (Mike), and Danielle; five great grandchildren, Spencer, Michael, Hailey, Lindsey, and Kelsey; four sisters, Millie, Ruth, Loretta, and Cindy; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Donald Schonhut, in 1997; her father, Francis B. Miller, her mother, Margaret Himler, and her step-father, Philip “Bud” Himler. The family welcomes friends to join them Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 12:30pm at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30pm at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Father Joseph Mamich from St. Joseph Church in Strongsville will celebrate the Mass. Interment will be at Ridgeville Cemetery in North Ridgeville.
