Marian Diederich Obituary

Marian F. Diederich (nee Snyder), 83, of North Ridgeville, passed away with her family by her side on Monday June 8, 2020 at St. John’s Medical Center in Westlake.  She is at rest now with her late husband of 20 years, Robert “Bob” Diederich, with her late daughter, Diane “Di” Pritchard and she is without pain.  Marian was the loving mother of Dean (Shelley), Pat and Mike (Lisa); the dear grandmother of 10 and the dear great-grandmother of eight.  She is also survived by; her siblings, Shirley Capell, Annie McCoy and John Snyder (Joyce); and by many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and daughter, Marian was also preceded in death by; her parents, Edwin and Harriet (nee Schroeder) Snyder; and by siblings, Clarita Snyder Capell, Leon “Buzz” Snyder and Kenneth Snyder.  Marian was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she was devoted to taking care of her family.  After her husband Bob passed away, she worked retail for many years while raising her four children. After retiring, her focus was more about her family and her grandchildren.  She was a life-long resident of North Ridgeville, was born in a house on Lear Nagle Road and resided at the Snyder family home on Center Ridge Road which is now the location of Liston Funeral Home.  She enjoyed talking about “old time” North Ridgeville and telling stories about growing up there.  Her father owned a dairy in North Ridgeville for many years and she enjoyed telling stories of how she would help him with deliveries in the winter using a sleigh.  Marian also enjoyed family gatherings, country music, line dancing, watching old 8mm family movies, morning glories and coffee!  Private family visitation and services will be held. She will be buried at St. Peter Cemetery in North Ridgeville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is serving the family.
