Mary Jo (McGilton) Priddy

Mary Jo Priddy (nee McGilton) 80, of Columbia Station, passed away on Sunday November 8, 2020 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center in Elyria following a long illness.  She was born May 13, 1940 in Jacksonburg, West Virginia.  Mary Jo had been a resident of Columbia Station for many years.  She was a retired auto worker and had been employed at the Ford Motor Company plant in Brook Park for over 35 years.  She attended North Eaton Baptist Church.  She enjoyed going to rodeos and concerts.  Mary Jo’s greatest joy was taking care of others, especially children.  Mary Jo Priddy is survived by: one son, Daniel Blakely of Andover; a sister, Janet Stiffler (Steve) of Clearwater, FL; a brother, Leroy McGilton (Judy) of Atwater; and by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by: a son, James Blakely in 2008; and by her parents, Walter P. and Virginia (nee Goodrich) McGilton.  A graveside service will be held on Friday November 13, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Columbia Township Cemetery (route 82) in Columbia Station.  The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
