Mary Jane Dreger (nee Brown), 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away at home on Tuesday October 30, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on March 6, 1938 in North Ridgeville. She was a life-long resident of North Ridgeville and was a 1956 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. Mary Jane also graduated from the M. B. Johnson School of Nursing in Elyria in 1959 as a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse for many years and retired from the Center Ridge Nursing Home in North Ridgeville in 1999. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in North Ridgeville. Shopping was her biggest passion! She also enjoyed word search puzzles, ironing, going out to eat and spending time with her family and friends. Mary Jane Dreger is survived by: two sons, Daniel S. Dreger (Christina) of North Ridgeville and Duane H. Dreger of Salem, MA; one daughter, Diane Badgett (Steve) of North Jackson; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Zachary, Deanna and Danielle; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and by one brother, James Brown (Nancy) of New London. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Clifford H. Dreger in 2006; and by her parents, Henry and Jessie (nee Miller) Brown. The family will receive friends on Saturday November 3, 2018 from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Rev. Arik Borstad, Pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ in North Ridgeville, will officiate the service. Burial will be at Elmhurst Park Cemetery in Avon.
