Maryann P. (Milner) King

Maryann P. King (nee Milner), 92, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 18, 2020, with her family by her side.  She was born March 1, 1928 in Cleveland.  Maryann had resided in North Ridgeville for the past 16 years and previously lived in Mayfield Heights and Euclid.  She was a graduate of Lourdes Academy in Cleveland and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Notre Dame College in South Euclid.  When she was young after graduating from college, Maryann was a languages teacher in Colorado.  She retired from the Veteran’s Administration in 1990, where she worked as a purchaser at both the Brecksville and Wade Park Hospitals.  Maryann also loved her role as a mother and homemaker and was proud of having raised 6 children.  She was a member of the Notre Dame College Alumni Association and of St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville.  Maryann was formerly an active parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Gates Mills, St. Robert Church in Euclid and Immaculate Conception Church in Cleveland.  She loved giving to charitable organizations.  She also enjoyed playing Bingo.  Maryann P. King is survived by:  three daughters, Faith Berry of Wareham, MA, Maura King of North Ridgeville and Elizabeth Gorsler (Steve) of Delaware, OH; two sons, James D. King of Sheffield Lake and Christopher J. King (the Late Lynn) of Painesville Township; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Tarek), Joel, Rebecca, Hamed, Adam, Jason (Dani), Jimmy, Melissa and Kaitlyn; and by four great grandchildren, Ashton, Bryant, Braylon and Roman.  She was preceded in death by: Her Husband, James R. King in 1994; her daughter, Colleen King in 2019 and by her sister, Loretta Zuzich.  The Memorial service will be held on July 18, 2020 at 2pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Father Hover will officiate.
