Michael John Kreps

Michael J. Kreps, 60, of Elyria, passed away on Sunday October 31, 2021 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a short illness.  He was born November 14, 1960 in Cleveland, was raised in North Ridgeville and was a 1981 graduate of North Ridgeville High School.  Mike was an Elyria resident for many years.  He had been formerly employed at the Murray Ridge Center in Elyria.  He enjoyed bowling, animals, train watching and train collecting.  Michael J. Kreps is survived by: his father, Richard Kreps (Rose) of Westlake; his sister, Denise “Shelly” Thompson (Dale) of Avon Lake; five nephews, Nick, Ricky, Chris, Tony and Greg; three great-nephews, Ryan, Mikey and Anthony; two great-nieces, Reagan and Lilli; and an uncle, Bob Kreps (Ann) of Fairview Park.  He was preceded in death by: his mother, Gail Winterfield (nee Patrick); his step-father, Glen Winterfield; his brother, Richard Kreps; four uncles; and two aunts.  The family will receive friends on Saturday November 6, 2021 from 1 to 4pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Murray Ridge Center in Elyria.
