Nancy K. Jacobs (nee Quick), 85, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday January 20, 2022. She was born October 10, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa and had resided in the Cleveland area for 34 years. Nancy served faithfully alongside her husband in his teaching and pastoral ministry for 50 years. She poured into the lives of women and children with love and grace. Nancy and her husband’s last ministry was at Grace Baptist Church in Westlake from 1986-2003. Previously, she played an integral part in his ministry in Iowa, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. Her crowning glory was her children. Their needs were always placed high above her own. Because of Nancy and her husband’s example, her children learned to extend the unconditional love of God to their own families and to others. Nancy’s goodness overflowed equally to the 48 Jacobs’ family members, who are thankful for their rich Christian heritage. Nancy is survived by: her six children; Roger (Dawn) of Scranton, Pennsylvania, Cindy Dunnett (Craig) of Toledo, Ohio, Sandra Branson (Timothy) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jill Norton (Shawn) of Okeechobee, Florida, John (Danette) of Sheffield Lake, Ohio and Keri Yund (David Andrew) of Medina, Ohio; 16 grandchildren (six with spouses); 14 great grandchildren; and two step-brothers, Robert Quick (Barbara) of North Tonawanda, New York and Russell Quick (Sharon) of Ankeny, Iowa. She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Rev. Dr. Jack Jacobs; and her step-parents, Robert (her father’s twin brother) and Velda Quick. In 1951, at the age of 14, Nancy lost her entire immediate family in a plane accident; her parents, Herbert and Zelma Quick and her brother, Roger Quick. The family will receive friends on Friday January 28, 2022 from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm at Grace Baptist Church, 23096 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake. Pastor Steve Strong will officiate the service. Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery in Westlake. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Grace Baptist Church of Westlake.
