Well Crap, I guess my time is up. I knew it was coming but you always think you have a little more time left. Sorry if I was a pain in the ass my last days. Born September 29, 1955, in E. St. Louis, Illinois, the 4th daughter to the late Mel and Marjorie (nee Harper) McMurtrey. Worst girlfriend “Ever” for 10 years to Steve Jirousek (sorry). Sisters, Marjorie (Larry) Kessler, Carolyn (Joe) Sullivan, Julia Chappa, and Angie (favorite sister-in-law to Mike) Marek. Nieces, Jessica Megan, Amy, and Natalie. Nephews, Stephen, Michael, David, and the late Richard.
Not the best mother but always really trying to my 3-D sons, Don (Ash) Blocksom, Dillon McCarthy (Dillon, you need to find your Ashley!), and Dan (Ashley) McCarthy; two stepchildren, Burton (Hilary) McCarthy, and Valorie McCarthy (Val, you need to find your Ashley too!); and the loves of my life, my eight grandchildren, Cailee (Kyle), Josh and Matthew Blocksom, Bryson and Brayden McCarthy, Annabelle Linn, Andrew and Rowan McCarthy. If I had know how awesome grandchildren are, I would have had them first! ; and last but absolutely not least, Cailee has blessed me with two great grandchildren, Miles and Lila.
No buildings named after me; no monuments erected in my honor. But I did have a chance to know and love each and every friend, and family member. Michelle and Bubba, I’m in no hurry to tag in (just saying). My VFW love to all!
Take care of each other and see you soon, but not too soon.
