Pamela Joyce Batten (nee Turner), 77, peacefully slipped into the arms of her LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday November 13, 2025 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange, Ohio, following a short illness. She was born August 25, 1948 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and had resided in Lorain County for the past 20 months. Pamela grew up in Glenville, West Virginia, and lived the majority of her life in Mineral Wells, West Virginia. She was a 1967 graduate of Glenville High School, where she was chosen as homecoming queen of her senior class, and a 1968 graduate of the Clarksburg Beauty Academy in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Pamela was a committed follower of Jesus Christ and trusted in The Bible, His word. A favorite verse of ,scripture of her husband’s, which he quoted to her often, and was quoted to her on the morning of her home-going was Proverbs 3:24 “When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid; yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.”
Pamela spent her career working as a cosmetologist and retired from Arlington Personal Care after 20 years of service. She enjoyed working with flowers, designing flower arrangements, and making wreaths. She loved her Sweet Jesus, her family, and celebrating Christmas.
Pamela Joyce Batten is survived by: her sister, Shae A. Luzader (BJ) of Grafton, Ohio; her brother, William J. “Bill” Turner of Parkersburg, West Virginia; her nieces, Kristin Garretson (Curt), Brook Barker (Andrew), and Kindra Peggs (Jordan); her great-nephews, Turner, Ryne, and Kellen Garretson; her great nieces, Avelyn and Kinlea Peggs; a special cousin, Sonia Wilt; a special aunt, Wyene Turner; and her dear friend, Ethel Ingram. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ronnie C. Batten in 2023; her father, William L. “Bill” Turner in 2002; and her mother, Candace L. Turner (nee Starkey) in 1992.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 19, 2025 at 2:00pm at Meadow Lane Cemetery in Glenville. Pastor Alfred Hickman will officiate. Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, Ohio, is serving the family.
