 March 23, 1930 - July 24, 2025

 Patricia A. Leonard (nee Cotter), age 95, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at her residence in Westlake, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Patricia lived her life with dignity and grace, embodying the values of integrity, kindness, and unconditional love. She was a devoted wife to Thomas M. Leonard Jr. (deceased), daughter of the late Sylvester R. Cotter and Julia M. Chambers and, a nurturing mother to her six children: Marty, Tom, Bill (Cindy Marek), Joanne, Patrick, and Mary (Strathern).

 Patricia was a beacon of light in her community, known for her commitment to family and community service. She had a remarkable ability to connect with others, volunteering her time and resources to support those in need and championing causes that were close to her heart. Her compassionate spirit inspired many, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand. With receiving her Bachelor of Arts from Ursuline College early in life, she used it later as a market/medical researcher for the federal government.

 As a fabulous cook, Patricia ensured that there was always a warm meal on the table for family and friends who visited. Her home was a gathering place filled with her endless devotion to her family. No baby or animal escaped her loving hugs too, especially her beloved golden retriever, Wini, who brought her immense joy.

 Patricia cherished her friendships, staying connected with her high school friends from St. Augustine, often sharing lunches and stories, outliving them all. An avid reader and member of her bridge clubs, she found joy in the pages of her books and the company of her friends.

She leaves behind a legacy of wonderful family values and a commitment to ethics and kindness that will be carried on by her 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

 A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on Wednesday July 30, 2025, at St. Christopher’s Parish, 20141 Detroit Road, Rocky River, Ohio 44116. All are welcome to share their memories of this remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her love and generosity. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM in the church reception area, accessible through the right side of the church from the large parking lot. Her Memorial Mass will begin at  11:00 AM with Father Joselito Clemen, celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
