Patricia Ann Wunderlich (nee Johnson), 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Northridge Health Care in North Ridgeville. She was born March 11, 1937 in Erie, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Cleveland. Pat graduated from West Tech High School in 1955, where she met the love of her life and they started their 59 years together. Pat retired from the Cleveland Public Library after 21 years. Pat loved to be in the kitchen and was a semi-professional cake decorator. She was a very active member of Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church in North Ridgeville, where she participated in many activities. Her church family meant the world to her. Pat was proficient at handcrafts including making wedding Afghans for family and friends. She was a lifelong seasonal resident of Drummond Island, Michigan, spending many summers there. Her miniature schnauzers and several cats enjoyed her love. Pat is survived by her three children, Gerald Wunderlich (Linda) of Milwaukee WI, Margaret Kusmisz (David) of Lorain, and Janice Scheufler (David) of Oberlin; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie, Rob, Caroline, Lauren, Jacqueline, and Daniel; eight great grandchildren, Zachary, Zoey, Elizabeth, Isabelle, Evelyn, Ariana, Bernard, and Ava; three siblings Sharon (the Late, Eugene), Nancy (Gary), and Thomas (Leslie); her two sisters-in-law, Elaine Johnson, and Ulrike Haviland; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband William Wunderlich; her parents, Donald and Margaret Johnson; and her two brothers, Donald Johnson; and Donald Haviland. A memorial service will be held in June at Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church, in North Ridgeville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
