Preston W. Jones

Preston W. Jones, 78, formerly of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday December 6, 2020 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake following a long illness.  He was born August 2, 1942 in Pennsboro, West Virginia.  Mr. Jones had been residing at Huntington Woods in Westlake for the past several years and formerly resided in North Ridgeville for 40 years.  He was a veteran and served in the US Airforce.  Mr. Jones was a retired machinist and had formerly worked at Pneumatic Tool in Cleveland.  He was an avid golfer and in his earlier years he enjoyed bowling.  Preston W. Jones is survived by: his wife of 54 years, Donna (nee Klima); one daughter, Janice Calfee (Dan) of North Ridgeville; one son, Tim Jones (Robin) of North Ridgeville; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Calfee, Alyssa Calfee and Krystyna Ozanich; three great-grandchildren, Peyton, Mason and Bently; and one sister, Peggy Heddleson of Medina.  He was preceded in death by: his mother, Oma Oates (nee Jones); his father, Clifford Jones; and his brother, Clifford H. Jones. The family is planning to hold a Memorial Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville in the spring of 2021 and the exact time and date will be announced on social media.  Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery in North Ridgeville.  The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
