Raymond A Mitchell

Raymond A. Mitchell, 69, a long time resident of North Ridgeville, passed away at St. Johns Medical Center in Westlake following a long illness. He was born September 28, 1951, in Canton. Raymond graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in 1993. He worked as a social worker for the Elyria Children’s Services for two years before opening Michael G’s Florist in North Ridgeville in 1995. Raymond was an animal lover, and enjoyed: painting, knitting, collecting Disney mugs, creating eccentric floral arrangements, and spending time with friends. He is survived by: his husband of 43 years, Michael Gass; his sister, Teresa Ann Satterfield; his brother, Michael Mitchell; and by many nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jean Mitchell. The family welcomes friends to join them on Wednesday June 30, 2021, from 4 to 6pm with the service starting at 6pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Father Joe Robinson from St. Peters Church will officiate.
