Richard H. Stansbury passed away in Sebring, Florida on December 13, 2021, at the age of 80. He was born on March 23, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a resident of North Ridgeville for many years as well as Lodi and Florida. Richard was proud to have served his country as a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army. He was employed at Thermo Electric for 37 years before he retired and worked for North Olmsted Para Transit. Lifetime member of the North Ridgeville V.F.W. 9871 and the Color (Honor) Guard. He took pride in maintaining the landscaping for North Ridgeville V.F.W. 9871 for numerous years. Member of the Military Order of the United States Cootie Pup Tent 45, American Legion Post 211 Avon, and the Loyal Order of Moose 778 Elyria. He is survived by his loving partner of five years, Ruth; his daughter, Dawn (Jeff); his son, Michael (Donna); two grandchildren, Alexander, and Tessa; his, brother Donald, nephew Mark (Marlene), and dear friend of many others. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Hale and Margaret and nephew Jeffrey. Ceremony with full military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 12:45pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Ridgeville V.F.W. 9871. “Say not in grief ‘he is no more’ but in thankfulness that he was”-Hebrew Proverb. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal.
