Rita June Lubinski

Rita June Lubinski (nee Richards), 78, a longtime resident of North Ridgeville and a devoted wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. She was born on August 16, 1946 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Harold and Marjorie Richards (nee Frazier). Rita lived a life defined by resilience and deep love for her family. At just 13 Rita met the love of her life, John Lubinski Sr., and later the two were united in marriage on October 9, 1963 – beginning a lifelong partnership that spanned more than six decades. Rita found joy in her daily bike rides, knitting blankets for her loved ones, the lively exchange of political conversations, and the beauty of her garden in full bloom. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, John Lubinski Sr.; her children, John Lubinski Jr. (Nancy), and Jeanette Asp (Bryan); six grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Tara Poff (Dustin), Joe McNamara (Amber), John Lubinski IV, Jesse Lubinski (Sarah), Shayna Hersh (Colty), and Christian Lubinski; ten great grandchildren, each a shining light in her life; and her sister, Mary Lou Bennett. Rita was proceeded in death by her parents, Harold and Marjorie Richards (nee Frazier); and her sister Carol Genoff. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to O’Neill Healthcare Scholarship Fund.
