Robert A. “Bob” (Bootcamp Bob) Berkheimer, 62, of North Ridgeville, passed away unexpectedly in Orlando, Florida, on February 22, 2026. He was born in Cleveland on February 19, 1964. Bob was raised in Westlake and was a 1982 graduate of Westlake High School. He had been a resident of North Ridgeville for 29 years. Bob worked as a Food Broker for 20 years and was currently employed by the Core Food Service Group. He also fulfilled a lifelong dream and became a comic book, art, and toy collector and dealer. Bob’s happy place was to be involved in comic book shows around the United States, where he made many friends and warm connections with others. He also enjoyed movies, he was an awesome cook, and he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Bob was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville. He is survived and will be greatly missed by: his wife of 35 years, Nancy (nee O’Brien); his children, Mason Berkheimer of Elyria, and Olivia Berkheimer of Lorain; his grandchildren, Klayton and Kamila Tomlin; his siblings, Dan Berkheimer (Julie) of Avon, Dave Berkheimer (Kelly) of Westlake, his twin, Bill Berkheimer (Kathie) of North Ridgeville, and Rich Berkheimer (Cathy) of Valley City; his sisters and brothers in law, Jeff O’Brien (Geri), Rose Gordon (Chris), Matt O’Brien (Sue), and Carol Briggs (Dave); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen (nee Hartinger) Berkheimer. The family will receive friends on Sunday March 1, 2026 from 2 to 5pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. The Funeral Mass will be Monday March 2, 2026 at 11am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road in North Ridgeville. Rev. Robert Franco, Pastor, will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.in North Ridgeville.
