Robert F. "Bobby" Chapman Jr.

Robert F. “Bobby” Chapman Jr., 53, of North Ridgeville, passed away unexpectedly at St. John Medical Center in Westlake on Friday September 30, 2022.  He was born April 17, 1969 in Elyria.  Bobby was a life-long resident of North Ridgeville and a 1987 graduate of North Ridgeville High School where he was a member of the football team.  He worked for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was respected by his co-workers for his abilities. He was also very skilled at fixing anything and enjoyed helping his family and friends and some have even commented that “Everybody needs a Bobby”!   He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and he loved music.  His favorite performers of all time were Led Zeppelin, John Denver and Garth Brooks. Bobby was also an Auxiliary Member of VFW Post #9871 in North Ridgeville.  Robert F. Chapman Jr. is survived by: his wife, Darlene (nee Machovina); Two daughters, Bethany Chapman of Knoxville, TN and Bailey Chapman of North Ridgeville; his step-daughter, Hannah Rohrbaugh (Levi) of West Salem; his grandson, Oliver Jude Hurst; his parents, Robert and Linda (nee Brady) Chapman of North Ridgeville; two brothers, Randy Chapman (Jill) and Tony Chapman (Amanda), both of North Ridgeville; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
