Robert L. Fox

Robert L. Fox, 69, a resident of Elyria, passed away following a long illness on Monday, February 12, 2024, at his residence. He was born July 22, 1954, in Cleveland. Robert graduated from Collinwood High School in Cleveland in 1972. He was a journeyman carpenter for 10 years before starting his career as a postal clerk, where he worked for 32 years before retiring. Robert enjoyed carpentry drafting. His specialty was designing underground homes. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Clara Fox (nee Merrick); three children, Joshua M. Fox (Stephanie), Sarah C. Dorko (Ronald Edward Dorko), and Matthew David Fox (Anna nee Zudell); 16 grandchildren; and three nieces. Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Howard W. Fox (Judy), and his sister, Gloria Pasquale (nee Fox). The family welcomes friends to join them Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm for a memorial gathering, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. A private family committal service will be held the following day at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
