Robert Whyel Jr., 64, a life time resident of Elyria, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, May 9, 2022, at University Hospitals of Elyria. He was born in Elyria on April 21, 1958. Robert enjoyed fishing, sports, playing horseshoes, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by: his loving wife of 46 years, Deborah Whyel (nee Walters); three daughters, Bobbie Napier (Brad), Betty Whyel, and Jody Parham (Steve); seven grandchildren, Brett Whyel, Brooke Perrino, Cameron Parham, Christian Napier, Bradley Napier, Kaylee Parham, and Jesse Napier; three great grandchildren, Payton Perrino, Brooklyn Perrino, and James Perrino; three siblings, Janet Green, Michael Whyel, and Emma Baker; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert and Betty Whyel; his sister, Linda Madison; and his brother, Mark Whyel. The family welcomes friends to join them at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville, on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 11am to 12pm, with the service beginning at 12pm. Pastor William Bias of Wellington Freewill Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be held at River Road Cemetery in Lagrange.
