Robert S. Woernley Jr.

Robert S. Woernly Jr., 64, a former resident of Berea, passed away on Monday August 23, 2021 at University Hospital in Cleveland, with his family by his side. He was born on May 12, 1957 in Middlesex, England. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1976 – 1980, and served in the reserves from 1980 – 1982. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and sports, especially football, and baseball. Robert is survived by: his loving wife of eight years, Eva; two children, Michael, and Char; three grandchildren, Isaiah, Anthony Jr., and Samuel; seven siblings, Patricia, Michelle, Stephen, Timothy, Jean, Susan, and Ryan; by his mother, Elizabeth Shupek; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by: his father Robert S. Woernley; and his son, Tony Jr. A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday August 31, 2021 at 11:30 am, at St. Mary’s Church of Berea, 250 Kraft St., Berea. Father Thomas Stock will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be held at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, in Olmsted Falls following the Mass.
