Rodger D. Duffin, 80, of Strongsville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday December 29, 2022 at Pearlview Rehab and Wellness Center in Brunswick. He was born in Ayr, Scotland in the United Kingdom on June 24, 1942. In 1955, Rodger immigrated with his family to the United States from Scotland. He lived in Ohio for many years and also lived in West Virginia for several years. Rodger was a veteran and served in the US Army. He was employed as a crane operator for over 28 years at the former LTV Steel Plant in Cleveland. He enjoyed fishing and he was an avid sports fan. Rodger D. Duffin is survived by: two daughters, Donna Duffin and Colleen Duffin, both of Strongsville; two sons, Rodger Duffin of Cleveland and Charles Duffin (Marguerite) of Parma; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Veronica Hoy of North Ridgeville; his brother, Michael Duffin (Genevieve) of Bay Village; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Betty Duffin; a son, Martin Duffin; his former wife, Patricia Duffin; and his parents, Michael and Catherine (nee McCandlish) Duffin. A private family service will be held on Tuesday at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate the service.
