Ronnie G. Orick

Ronnie G. Orick, 73, a life- long resident of Columbia Station, passed away on Sunday November 1, 2020 at Regency Hospital in Middleburg Heights. He was born on October 19, 1947 in Pruden, Tennessee. Ronnie graduated from Columbia High School in 1967. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1968 to 1970. Ronnie was a member of the Columbia Station Eagles and American Legion. He enjoyed coaching softball and he was an avid outdoorsman spending his time fishing and hunting. Ronnie was the self proclaimed Funniest Man in Columbia Station, who liked to laugh and was full of life. He is survived by: his wife, Diane Orick (nee Vance); two daughters, Hope Orick Foss (Phillip), and Rhonda Orick (Emanuel Mathiellis); five grandchildren, Gage, Dayton, Natasha, Tristen, and Logan; six great grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews. Ronnie was preceded in death by: his daughter, Brandi Orick; his granddaughter, Casandra Orick; his brother, Donnie Orick; his mother and step father, Freda Rae and Wayland Cobb; his father, Clyde Orick; and by his two nephews, Bobby Brink, and Donnie Orick. The family welcomes friends to join them on Saturday November 7, 2020 from 10am to 11am at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Private family services will follow the visitation. Help us sign him off one more time in downtown beautiful Columbia Station at the Columbia Township Cemetery (Route 82) at 12pm on Saturday. Pastor David Swartz will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
