Ruby P. Knight

Ruby P. Knight (nee Keller), 91, a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her residence on Wednesday September 1, 2021. She was born April 4, 1930 in Madisonville, Tennessee. Ruby retired from The Lutheran Home in Westlake in 1988, where she worked as a housekeeper. She enjoyed: gardening, working in the yard, especially mowing the grass, garage sales, and spending time with her family and friends. Ruby is survived by: two children, Leroy (Margie), and Barb Gouge; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; her sister, Alice (Herb) Hale; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 67 years, Thurman Knight, who passed away in 2013; two daughters, Debbie Rice, and Janice Sue Knight; her sons-in-law, Ed Gouge and Jay Rice; four brothers, and one sister. The family welcomes friends to join them on Tuesday September 7, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. The funeral service will be held Wednesday September 8, 2021 at 10am at the funeral home. Pastor Kevin Crow from Harvest Ridge Church in North Ridgeville, will officiate. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice.
