Sharon A. Carpenter (nee Markle), 71, a long-time resident of Berea, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at The Gardens of North Olmsted on Friday, November 4, 2022. She was born in Miami Oklahoma on March 3, 1951. Sharon attended Lorain County Community College for early childhood development. She loved her job as a nanny and taking care of children. Sharon also enjoyed singing, arts and crafts, crocheting, plastic canvas crafts, coloring, and was a fond lover of cats. She is survived by: her four children, Phillip, Ronnette, Frances, and Jason; four grandchildren, David, Daviean, Dillon, and Brandon; two great grandchildren, Hunter, and Piper; her brother, Jon Markle; her sister-in-law, Jo Markle; two nephews, Timmy, and Jody; and her niece, Dustina; and many great nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by: her daughter, Christina; her parents, Reverend William H. and Dorothy Jean Markle; her brother, David; and her great grandson, Leon. The family welcomes friends to join them on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 6-8pm and Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 10am-11am, with the service beginning at 11am, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The burial will be held at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
